This movie got everyone talking last year and even saw Natasha Beddingfield’s 2004 song ‘Unwritten’ re-enter the official charts, thanks to the movie’s success at the Box Office and on TikTok. Starring Sydney Sweeney – of Euphoria and The White Lotus fame - and Glen Powell, the movie follows Bea and Ben who, after a brilliant first date, find their attraction turning ice cold. But when they both end up at the same destination wedding, they pretend to be a couple for their own personal reasons and it’s not long before they begin falling for each other… Available 5 July on Sky Cinema and NOWAnyone But You
This month sees the arrival of not one, not two, but three Mission Impossible movies. The films – which see Tom Cruise star as Ethan Hunt, an agent of the Impossible Missions Force (IMF) – follow the missions of an IMF field team as they work through various battles and operations. Not for the faint hearted, The Nun II is a sequel to the 2018 movie The Nun and is part of The Conjuring franchise. This supernatural horror movie begins in 1956 when a priest is killed whilst investigating a disturbance. Because all good things come in threes, July also sees the full Hangover trilogy arrive on Sky Cinema and NOW. All three films follow four friends (aka The Wolfpack), with the first two centring on a bachelor party and the third involving a road trip. The first film – arguably the most iconic - sees the group head to Vegas where the antics get so wild they lose the groom. They spend the next day trying to retrace their steps, find the groom and make it back in time for the wedding. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zack Galifianakis star. This animation is the first movie of the Spider-Verse franchise and stars the voices of Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson and Hailee Steinfeld. It follows Miles as he becomes the new Spider-Man and teams up with other Spider-People to save NYC from the Kingpin. Another high-scorer (89 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes) is coming this month, as Straight Outta Compton – the biographical drama movie about hip hop group N.W.A – arrives on Sky Cinema and NOW. The movie depicts the rise and fall of the group and its members, from the mean streets of Compton in LA to their role revolutionising the hip-hop scene.
